Bring your scene with a partner, solo scene, or monologue to the coaching session.Work one-on-one with Joe Salazar, our resident acting coach, to refine your piece and ensure you’re performance-ready for the Showcase.
Bring a copy of your sides for the reader to the coaching session.
What to prepare:
A two-minute scene or monologue. Bring in material that will showcase you and your talent best. You may choose:A. Scene with a Partner: This is the most preferred way to have your work seen, as it gives a chance to see you give and take with another individual. Both you and your partner need to be signed up for the showcase.
B. Scene with a Reader: We will provide a reader for you. Make sure that the material you choose is about YOU. This is your opportunity to shine, so you and your character must be the main focus.
C. Monologue: If you have a monologue that you absolutely love, go for it! Generally, it will benefit you most if your monologue shows you, in your character, in pursuit of something rather than a reflective story that lacks an active struggle for something.
-
Call Time: 6:30 PM – Arrive dressed and ready to perform.
Check-in: Report to the stage manager, who will confirm your placement in the lineup for the night. If you are performing a scene with a reader, you will have the opportunity to read it through with the reader.Performance Order: You will be cued when it’s your turn and notified when you’re on deck.
Bring 4 copies of your headshot and resume stapled together and your sides for the reader.
-
After your performance, return to the 1st theater while the remaining actors complete their showcases.
Once the showcase concludes, join us in our networking & meet-and-greet event with the agents and fellow actors. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impression, ask insightful questions, and connect with industry professionals.Drinks & light snacks will be available.
