Joe Salazar, co-owner of The Actors Company, is a veteran acting coach who has been teaching for over 25 years and has loved every minute of it. Joe strongly believes that actors do their best work when they allow themselves to be free, letting the audience (or camera) catch what is authentic about them, what makes them memorable, and what makes them stand out.

For all in person classes, masks are required for anyone that is not fully vaccinated.

FUNDAMENTALS & ADVANCED ACTING with JOE SALAZAR

Joe’s teaching his ACTING CLASS for actors who are seasoned, new or returning to acting. This class focuses on helping actors build the confidence needed to pursue their acting goals. Every actor learns differently so Joe has created a small class, (12 maximum) so he can take a very individual approach toward each of his students by helping them see clearly what they are doing that is working for them and where they need to improve. The small class size also allows for each student to work a minimum of 3 times per class because the more you work, the better you get. Beginning and returning actors will learn how to work with strong character goals, make active choices and learn how to create and stay involved in the world of their characters.

CLASS FOCUS: On-Camera Auditions, Cold Readings, Scene Study, Monologues, Character Development and Script Analysis.

Joe loves teaching actors and believes in challenging actors to be their best. Students need to be passionate about their acting goals, committed, hard-working, and want to have fun learning. “Every opportunity to act is an opportunity to be the best actor you’ve ever been”.

COST: $240 per month ($300 when there are five Tuesdays in the month) 
**a $4 processing fee is added if paying on a credit or debit card**

Please note that your interview may last up to 90 minutes. Please make sure you are ready to begin class in 2-3 weeks before you sign up for an interview.

PRIVATE COACHING with JOE SALAZAR

In addition to his two ongoing acting classes, Joe offers private coaching for students who are looking for a one-on-one learning environment. Private coaching is a great way to work on an upcoming audition, ensure you arrive on set prepared and focused, or simply build confidence in your day-to-day work.

Private Coaching Rates:
(minimum 45 minutes)

45 minutes - $75
60 minutes - $100
90 minutes - $150

You can also schedule a private coaching with a self-taping session included, to put your best foot forward in your self-tape submissions. Self-taping sessions with be charged in addition to Joe’s private coaching rate.
