SHOWCASE PREPARATION CLASS

Over the years Daniel has been privy to over a hundred and seventy agent & manager showcases. He's been fortunate enough to hear the insight of many industry professionals, providing valuable information on what type of scenes actors should be preparing for showcasing.

Typically, actors...

  • Can't seem to find the right material
  • Can't seem to find someone to work with
  • Can't seem to determine their casting type
  • Can't seem to find the right length scene

Typically, this results in the actor presenting scenes, that aren't the best possible representation of the work that they can REALLY do. Each week, you'll be assigned with homework not only for scene work, but for BUSINESS PREPARATION. This includes making sure your headshots, reel, resume is up to date, accountable for creating your own content, and group discussions on auditioning & what's going on in the business.

WEEK ONE:
You will be ASSIGNED scenes to work on in class. You'll perform a TABLE READ. This class is designed to establish what material you'll be working on for the entire course. You'll also be paired up with a scene partner.

WEEK TWO:
You'll be expected to be off-book this week, as we'll be going through your scene and working on SCENE ANALYSIS. This part of the course is the most important stage. The REHEARSAL process is an essential part of any showcase preparation.

WEEK THREE:
You'll be getting the scene on it's feet. This week will be used to really determine on-going direction on your scene.

WEEK FOUR:
The final week will be spent refining the scene and really playing. By the end of the course, you'll have found the right material choice, be working with a partner, and most importantly...put time and effort into a presentable scene.

AGENT or MANAGER SHOWCASE:
You can choose from any AGENT or MANAGER showcase.

EVERYONE WORKS. EVERY CLASS.
